Location:  Indonesia

Event: In accordance with Indonesia’s Presidential Decree number 10 of 2024 declaring February 14^th as a national holiday for the Presidential and Legislative elections, the United States Embassy offices in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, and Bali will be closed on February 14, 2024.  Indonesia will hold nationwide general elections that day, including for the presidency, regional and national legislatures.  Avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.

Actions to Take:

• Avoid areas around protests and demonstrations.
• Monitor local media for updates.
• Become familiar with alternate routes to common destinations and plan to avoid traffic disruptions.
