‘Boycott Bollywood’ trends after stars extend support to Palestine; Pooja Bhatt defends the industry by p - TOI Etimes

Many A-list Bollywood figures have extended solidarity with war torn Palestine lately. Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan took to their Instagram stories to show their support. However, this soon led to the "boycott Bollywood" trend on X, which drew Pooja Bhatt's attention. She has sharply criticized the trend, which consistently targets the industry for voicing collective concerns.

Addressing the issue on her official X handle, Pooja shared a screenshot of the "boycott Bollywood" hashtag, saying, "And it begins YET again! The entertainment Industry pays the price for speaking up collectively against the atrocities in Palestine." She also included the hashtag, "All eyes on Rafah."

Soon, she reposted the same caption, noting, "As does the gaslighting in the comments.So predictable. So bereft of any iota of imagination."
Earlier, Alia shared a post on her Instagram stories from another user, emphasizing, "All children deserve love, safety, peace, and life. And all mothers deserve to provide those things," accompanied by the hashtag "#AllEyesOnRafah."
Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a post from the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) condemning the Israeli attack. The post highlighted the tragedy unfolding in Rafah, calling for an immediate ceasefire, release of hostages, and an end to the senseless killing of children.
