From making a mark in the Indian Premier League as a teenager to becoming the vice-captain of a team, Rashid Khan has come a long way in the Indian Premier League. The Afghanistan leg-spinner created a massive impact in the IPL and went on to become a superstar.
SunRisers Hyderabad gave Rashid Khan the platform after picking him up for Rs 4 crore in the IPL 2017 auction. He was trusted by the team management as he played 76 matches and picked up 93 wickets in a span of 5 years.

However, Rashid Khan will be facing his former franchise SRH when he turns up for Gujarat Titans at the DY Patil Stadium on Monday, April 11. The leg-spinner, the vice-captain of the Titans, will plot the downfall of his former franchise, which he feels will be a very "different feeling".
"This year, a team which I played for 5 years, I will be up against them. It's a different feeling," Rashid Khan told Gujarat Titans ahead of the big-ticket match.
Rashid will be against Kane Williamson, his former captain. Having bowled to him at the international level, Rashid said he enjoys bowling to the New Zealand star and that the fans would love to see their content.

RASHID VS KANE
In fact, in 2018, Rashid was one of the key members of the SRH side that finished as runner-up. The Afghanistan bowler thrived under Williamson's captaincy when David Warner, who had led SRH, was serving a suspension over a ball-tampering scandal.
"Bowling to someone like Kane is always a huge pleasure as a bowler, we spent a good five years together while we had that kind of competition. Now against each other, it's a lovely contest. I think fans would love to see that," Rashid said.
Gujarat Titans are the only unbeaten side in IPL 2022 so far and they will be up against SRH, who are looking to stitch a winning run after ending their losing streak against Chennai Super Kings last week.
Shedding light on Gujarat's approach to the season under Hardik Pandya's captaincy, Rashid added: "It's pretty simple. We had planned at the beginning of the tournament, we are going to be the same. we are going to keep enjoying each other's company. We won't focus on the results a lot. We will want to make sure the team morale is always good."
