Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer Lionel Messi a three-year contract worth €40million a year, according to reports.
It was confirmed on Thursday that Messi would not be staying at Barcelona despite looking set to sign a new five-year deal.
The club said that “financial and structural obstacles” prevented him from signing a new deal.

PSG and Manchester City unsurprisingly emerged as favourites to sign the Argentinian as soon as the news broke.
However, the Ligue 1 club are in pole position with Messi keen to make the move to the French capital.
As reported by French outlet L’Equipe (via Get French Football News), PSG are to offer a three-year contract with the final year likely to be optional.
Ahead of their league opener against Troyes this weekend, manager Mauricio Pochettino said that the club are “working” while not giving a lot away.
The PSG hierarchy may have to sell a number of players due to the pressure of French football’s financial regulator.
French journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi has also claimed that Messi has ‘chosen to join PSG’.

Numerous journalists in the country have reported that the Barcelona legend will not wear the number 10 shirt belonging to Neymar.
Messi wore number 19 when he broke into Barca’s first-team as a youngster and is likely to wear this number if he signs for the French giants.
Furthermore, Pep Guardiola has ruled Manchester City out of the race for the 34-year-old.
The Spaniard has claimed that a move for the superstar is ‘not in our thoughts’.
When asked about the Argentinian, he said: “It looked like it finished well in terms of continuing with Barcelona and in the end it was a surprise for everyone, me included of course but I think [Barca president] Joan Laporta was clear today the reason why.
“We spent £40million on Jack Grealish. £100million we pay and £60million we won [from sales] in the last year and he will bring the number 10 because we were convinced for Jack Grealish.
“Right now it is not in our thoughts [to sign Messi], absolutely not.”
