Croatia vs Spain LIVE: 1-1

This is the start of our Euro 2020 last-16 live blog for Croatia vs Spain. We'll have build-up right here, before minute-by-minute updates from Croatia vs Spain. So, follow along with us!

Minute 46: Croatia kick off the second half

Croatia have got us back underway. Can either team find a winning goal in this second half, or will we be going to extra time? Stay along with us to find out.

HALF TIME: Croatia 1-1 Spain

A horrific mistake by Unai Simon gave Croatia the lead after 20 minutes, but Spain hit back 18 minutes later through Pablo Sarabia. La Roja dominated much of the half, but there was clearly an initial drop in confidence after they conceded. The equaliser made them start to believe again.

Minute 45+1: Morata shoots... but it's over!

Spain worked a good move involving Cesar Azpilicueta, Koke and Sarabia, which led to Morata receiving the ball on the edge of the box, but the striker's shot flew over the crossbar.

Minute 44: Spain regain control

Since Spain's equaliser, Luis Enrique's side have had more of the ball and seem to be playing with more tranquillity.

Minute 38: GOAL FOR SPAIN!

Spain kept going after having a couple of chances in the box, with Livakovic palming Gaya's shot into the path of Sarabia, who made sure to fire into the back of the net. Croatia 1-1 Spain.

Minute 35: Spain playing with more caution

Spain seem to be losing some of the 50:50 battles now and are playing a lot deeper than they were in the opening 15-20 minutes of the game. Luis Enrique will be keen for La Roja to regain dominance of the ball in order to start dictating the play again.

Minute 25: Croatia certainly more confident now

Croatia are beginning to attack with more intent now, with Nikola Vlasic coming close after being put through by an excellent outside-of-the-foot pass by Modric. Vlasic could only fire his shot into the side netting.

Minute 20: GOAL FOR CROATIA!

Pedri played a pass back to Unai Simon from 40 yards out, but the Spain goalkeeper took his eye off it and that allowed the ball to make its way into the back of the net. Terrible mistake by Unai Simon. Croatia 1-0 Spain.

Minute 19: Morata comes close

Ferran Torres' whips in a brilliant cross from the right-hand that Alvaro Morata got his head to, but it went down onto Vida's hand and away. The Croatia defender was too close for it to be given, though. Correct decision.

Minute 16: Big save by Livakovic!

Pedri plays a wonderful pass in behind Domagoj Vida and Caleta-Car, which allowed Koke to get a free shot at goal from 12 yards out, but Livakovic made a good stop to deny the Spain midfielder. It remains goalless in Copenhagen.

Minute 13: Sarabia shoots into side netting

Sergio Busquets found Alvaro Morata in the area and the Spain striker then laid it off for Pablo Sarabia, whose shot went into the side netting. La Roja are playing with some confidence this evening.

Minute 10: Eric Garcia gets a talking to

Eric Garcia was late as he came in on Bruno Petkovic from behind, which led to the Spain centre-back getting a talking to by the referee. No card was shown.

Minute 8: Spain domination early on

Most of the play has been in Croatia's half early on, with Spain dominating a lot of the ball, as you might expect. Croatia seem to be set up well defensively, though.

Minute 2: First half-chance of the game

Jose Luis Gaya got forward from left-back and was almost picked out by Aymeric Laporte, but Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic came out and got to the ball first.
