Just 12 minutes ago, a 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded early evening on Sunday 21 March 2021 at 6:48 pm local time, at an intermediate depth of 90 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Komodo (pop. 2,000) located 35 km from the epicenter, Labuan Bajo (pop. 188,700) 64 km away, and Bima (pop. 67,000) 95 km away.
