Manchester United vs AC Milan, Europa League LIVE: Score, line-ups and latest updates - MARCA.com

Hello and welcome along to our Manchester United vs AC Milan live blog. This is the place for all the build-up to the Manchester United vs AC Milan in the Europa League last-16 first leg at Old Trafford and then the minute-by-minute updates for the match itself. All the updates are below, with the most recent entries at the top.

FULL TIME: Manchester United 1-1 AC Milan

It seemed as though Manchester United would be heading into next Thursday's second leg against AC Milan 1-0 up and without having conceded an away goal, but Simon Kjaer's late equaliser means the Rossoneri are in a good position. It was a very good performance overall by Milan, especially given how many players they had out. For United, it is a disappointment after the ecstasy of last weekend's derby win against Manchester City.

Minute 90 (+2). GOAL FOR MILAN

AC Milan have scored a crucial away goal in second-half stoppage time. Simon Kjaer was allowed to roam in the area and then he connected with Rade Krunic's corner, but Henderson really should have done better; it was right at him. Still, Milan and Kjaer won't mind.

Minute 83. United benefit from another refereeing decision

After Kessie's goal was questionably ruled out earlier in the game, McTominay has now got away with not being sent off after pulling back a Milan player whilst on a yellow.

Minute 73. Three more substitutions for United, one for Milan

Brandon Williams, Luke Shaw and Fred have been brought on for Bruno Fernandes, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Pierre Kalulu has replaced Davide Calabria for Milan.

Minute 69. Double change for Milan

Brahim Diaz and Alexis Saelemaekers have come off for Sandro Tonali and Samu Castillejo.

Minute 64. Milan come close

Davide Calabria put in an excellent cross and Rade Krunic got ahead of Wan-Bissaka, but the Milan midfielder could not guide his header on target.

Minute 58. Kessie tests Henderson

Milan's corner was not properly dealt with by United and the ball ended up coming the way of Kessie, who had his shot tipped behind by Henderson.

Minute 50. GOAL FOR UNITED!

Amad Diallo has opened his account for United. Bruno Fernandes played a beautiful pass for Diallo, who had made a brilliant run, and the younger managed to turn around his body before using the back of his head to loop a header over Donnarumma. A very smart goal all around.

Minute 46. Half-time change for United

Anthony Martial hobbled off at half time and Solskjaer has opted to bring on Amad Diallo as his replacement. This is Diallo's third game for United since arriving from Atalanta in January. The 18-year-old played a combined 38 minutes in both legs against Real Sociedad in the last round.

A few interesting tweets at half time

HALF TIME: Still level after the first 45 minutes

Milan saw the ball go into the back of Dean Henderson's net on two occasions in the first 10 minutes, but they were ruled out for an offside and a handball. The Rossoneri looked the more comfortable of the two teams, but United always have that threat on the counter. Stefano Pioli will be happy with what he has seen so far, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will demand improvement from his players.

Minute 38. Maguire hits the post!

Harry Maguire somehow failed to score from a yard or so out after Alex Telles' corner was flicked on by Bruno Fernandes and then hit into the post by Maguire. It seemed to come off the centre-back's shinpad.

Minute 30. Milan looking the better of the two sides

Stefano Pioli's Milan side are continuing to push forward and are looking increasingly confident on the ball. United are struggling for creativity, particularly when pressed by the energetic Milan midfielders.

Minute 10. GOAL FOR MILAN... but it's disallowed

Franck Kessie thought that he had scored a crucial away goal for AC Milan, but it was ruled out by VAR after the midfielder was adjudged to have handballed it prior to finishing past Henderson. The Rossoneri have already had the ball in the back of the net twice in the first 10 minutes, but neither have counted.

Minute 7. Martial tests Donnarumma

Anthony Martial controls the ball with his chest and allows it to hit the floor before attempting a half-volley at Gianluigi Donnarumma's goal, which the Italian tipped over the bar. United's first chance of note.

Minute 4. GOAL FOR MILAN... but it's offside

Rafael Leao was a foot or so offside when the ball was played, but a long ball in behind the United defence allowed the Portuguese forward to run onto it and confidently fire past Dean Henderson. An early warning for United.

18:50 CET. How do both teams look coming into this game?

Manchester United will be feeling confident after ending Manchester City's unbeaten run last weekend with a 2-0 win a the Etihad Stadium, while AC Milan were also victorious after beating Hellas Verona 2-0 away from home.
