BLACKPINK’s Rosé Offers A First Look At Her Solo Debut - uDiscover Music

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has shared the first taste of her highly-anticipated solo debut. While a title has yet to be revealed, Rosé will perform the song for the very first time during the K-pop group’s live-stream concert, THE SHOW. The ticketed event streams live on January 31 at 2:00 pm KST (midnight EST) via YouTube.

The 34-second clip of the guitar-driven ballad features the New Zealand-born, South Korean-based artist singing in English: “All my love is gone/ All my love is gone/ Now you’re dead and gone.” The accompanying video snippet shows the K-pop star alone in various rooms of a house, as she laments her lost love.

YG Entertainment confirmed additional details about the release, as reported by Hypebae: “We’re working on the finishing touches for the music video. As we’ve used an unprecedented budget for this release, we’re making sure that everything is perfect. We will make the official announcement soon.”

Fans had the opportunity to watch Rosé working on her solo material during last year’s BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky documentary. The Netflix feature chronicled the quartet’s rise to fame, and the making of their debut LP, THE ALBUM.

In an earlier announcement, YG Entertainment confirmed that each of the four members of BLACKPINK would release solo projects. Rosé marks the second member of the group to record her own material, following singer and rapper Jennie, who released her Korean/English-language track, “SOLO,” in 2018.

BLACKPINK, which also features members Jisoo and Lisa, had an exceptional year – filled with multiple record-breaking achievements, and the release of THE ALBUM  in October. Perhaps most notably, the group scored the biggest debut on the Billboard 200 by an all-female group in over a decade with their acclaimed LP, which landed at No.2.

In addition to breaking several YouTube streaming records, BLACKPINK also became their first female Korean group to land on Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Asia” list.
