4.2 quake 30 Dec 2:43 am (GMT +8)

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a magnitude 4.2 quake in the Philippines near Tagbilaran, Bohol, Central Visayas, only 20 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Wednesday 30 December 2020 at 2:43 am local time at a great depth of 540 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Valencia (pop. 2,400, 28 km away), Loboc (pop. 16,300, 32 km away), Alburquerque (pop. 2,700, 33 km away), Garcia Hernandez (pop. 2,600, 33 km away), Catarman (pop. 3,700, 39 km away), Jagna (pop. 32,600, 41 km away), Tagbilaran (pop. 86,400, 44 km away), and Danao (pop. 17,700, 46 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
