DAYTON, Ohio - Police in Dayton say they are investigating a shooting where nine people were killed in addition to the suspected shooter.
The shooting happened at 1 a.m. Sunday in the area of East 5th Street in the Oregon District in Dayton.
At least 16 people went to area hospitals to be treated or injuries, according to police.

The Dayton Police Department said on Twitter, "We had officers in the immediate vicinity when this shooting began and were able to respond and put an end to it quickly."
The FBI is on the scene to help investigate.
Investigators are working to identify the suspect.
Police are asking if anyone witnessed the shooting or has information that would help the investigation, that they call 937-225-6217.
Police said the Dayton Fire Department is working to set up an assistance center for families at the Dayton Convention Center.
More information about the assistance center will be released once it is staffed.
